The name VRIDHAPPI is combined by two words. "vRddhatva" in Sanskrit means old age and "HAPPI" in English means exactly what it means happy...
I wanted to create a name with the word where the name brought out the essence behind this mission.. my friend coined this name for me and i am eternally thankful to him. I feel everyone in our lives play an important part and I feel my friend has done exactly that without even realizing it.
Having said this.. I should first thank my husband without whom I would not be able to have started this mission. He was the one who enlightened me that there were many old age homes but there were very few places or any organization which would serve the old people who want to do many things but cannot keep up with the pace with this fast and changing pace of this world. He also told me that there were many old people who wanted help but did not know how and who to reach. I have tried to create this blog to show a way.
